It's Brisbane Tonight - Wow!
Production
23/10/10
- Well we've been filming for about a month now and everything is
going really well - I guess we've been too busy with the work to update
this sooner (which is probably a good sign). The cast and crew are
working together really well and are a tight knit, friendly and
talented bunch. It really is a pleasure at the moment :-)
- I did some quick calculations the other day - we've shot 25% of
the script (22 pages) and have shot 310 takes of the various shots so
far - for 87Gb of HD data - which is about 245 minutes worth (for about
22 minutes of screen time) - this gives us a shooting ratio of 1:11
--> which is fine for this - bit of a worry if it was film though!
- One of the first things I've noticed is (and this actually goes
back to rehearsals as well): shooting comedy is SO MUCH MORE FUN than
drama - not that drama is bad though - but I'm loving this :-)
- We've also reached an agreement with Adrian of Balcony 153
to film our bar scenes there - Balcony 153 is probably the coolest bar
in Brisbane, and it's best kept secret (not anymore!) -- a big thankyou
to Adrian for his generosity :-)
- Nathan (the editor) has got the material we've shot so far and is
starting to edit it together - this comprises many office scenes, the
intro mechanic scene and the film with in the film. My computer labours
under HD so screen shots are a bit hard to generate, but Nathan can
pass some on soon that I can post, but we do have our behind the scenes
gallery up and running now

Behind the Scenes Gallery for more
- Tomorrow we're shooting the loading dock scenes and the following
weekend the front reception material with Kimberley - and then into our
big run in the studio - where we get into the bulk of the film
